Project Scope

Graycor Industrial’s team is currently performing a coal combustion residuals (CCR) project to convert Alliant Energy’s existing bottom ash system at its Prairie Creek Generating Station from a wet to dry system.

Work includes: Pipe/hanger fabrication and erection, electrical, surge tank foundations, fabrication and installation, mechanical underground boring, and installation of sump pumps and drain lines.

Also at the Prairie Creek station, Graycor’s team installed activated carbon injection (ACI), calcium bromide chemical feed system and liquid flue gas conditioning equipment on Units 3 and 4. The $2.3 million project, which began in April 2014 and was completed in September 2014, included construction of a pre-engineered building and associated HVAC.
