Project Scope

Graycor was the general contractor for the 10,000-square-foot, second-generation tenant build-out featuring open ceilings and unique finishes such as reclaimed barn wood and custom glass. While the reclaimed barn wood serves as the main focal point of the office, other notable highlights of the ultra-modern space include quartz counter tops, ground and polished concrete floors, large glass conference rooms and LED lighting throughout adding to the aesthetics. The office space consists of a balanced finish palette creating an energetic work environment designed to promote collaboration.

The Graycor team also worked closely with the architect to develop a plan that would route the infrastructure out of the direct sight of the overhead features without inhibiting the visual appeal of the curved glass feature, reclaimed barn wood and exposed ceiling areas. Incorporating reclaimed barn wood into the space was quite an arduous task but in the end, came out exquisitely beautiful. The millwork contractor, the electrical contractor and the drywall contractor all exceeded expectations implementing this challenging design.

As an industry leader in sustainability and energy efficiency committed to improving the way buildings are designed, built and maintained, it was important for Southland’s office to design and construct with sustainability components. The reclaimed barn wood and LED lighting not only add to the quality aesthetics of the space; they are sustainable design elements that are friendly to the environment.
