Project Scope

Graycor was the general contractor for the Shops on Main upscale retail development in Schererville, Indiana for Regency Centers, a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored and community shopping centers. The 147,851-square-foot community shopping center is located in Northwest Indiana, about 25 miles southeast of Chicago.

The project included traffic controls, site protection, building demolition, site excavation, utility installation, paving, curb work and landscaping along with the construction of the main anchor building, two out-parcel buildings and five out-lots on the 35-acre site.

Stores in the mall development include Pier One, mall anchor Gordmans, Ross Dress for Less, HomeGoods and DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse.

Graycor also constructed two out-parcel buildings to house additional retail and fast food restaurants.
