MarkWest called upon Graycor to expand the Sherwood Processing Facility by constructing a seventh cryogenic gas processing plant.
The scope of work to build the 200-MMscf/d cryogenic unit included civil, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical, as well as substation construction. Graycor’s team self-performed all equipment setting, steel erection, and piping fabrication and installation. Startup and commissioning was also conducted in the project’s final stage.
Civil Scope:
- Drill caissons: 127
- Foundations: Over 50 varying
- Rebar: 155 tons
- Concrete: 3,500 cubic yards
- Schedule: 1-10-6 for 12 weeks
Piping Installation:
- Piping: 16,278 linear feet
- Fabricated spools: 851
- Field welds: 581
