This multi-phased project for Forbo Adhesives required Graycor’s team to install concrete foundations, structural steel, pre-cast, masonry, siding and roofing to enclose the new production line within a three-story building. Installation of the production line itself called for extensive carbon and stainless piping expertise, electrical work (including explosion-proof instrumentation) and equipment setting of mixers, agitators, flare stack and an ethylene storage vessel.

Graycor′s team maintained close and constant communication with the engineering team and owner to ensure proper methods and materials were utilized. A great deal of outage work was necessary to tie the new line into two existing lines due to Forbo’s around-the-clock production with the two existing lines. Graycor′s intense coordination of systems expertise and management of craftwork was key to ultimately completing the project on time.
