Graycor was the general contractor for the redevelopment of the former Lord & Taylor anchor store at Oakbrook Center. The grade level was converted into multiple retail/restaurant tenant spaces, the upper level was prepared for future tenant use and the basement was converted into storage space and MEP infrastructure.

The existing building interior, exterior partitions and MEP systems were demolished, leaving the original steel and concrete structure. The existing structure was then reinforced and a new opening was created in the slab for stairs. The MEP system was replaced to accommodate the new intended uses and the loading dock was expanded to two bays. The exterior facade was also replaced with sections left as exterior sheathing for new tenant branding.
