Project Scope

Graycor was the construction manager responsible for renovating and expanding the Engine Plant into a Truck Development & Technical Center while still maintaining the ability to manufacture engines throughout construction.

Plans called for a new and renovated space totaling 700,000 square feet and site development of approximately 38 acres. The newly-renovated Truck Development & Technical Center now boasts:

• A new tractor-trailer and military vehicles development building with overhead cranes
• A new environmental chamber to test the performance of the trucks and military vehicles at temperatures as high as 140̊ F and at wind speeds approaching 100 mph
• New labs to develop and test truck components including engines, electronics and suspensions
  Renovated office space with new HVAC and lighting
