Project Scope

Graycor was the general contractor for this 5,175-square-foot, specialized entertainment project that involved extensive BIM coordination due to an intricate, Owner-furnished tunnel equipment system and overall building structure. The indoor skydiving facility features a 12-foot diameter, five-story tunnel equipment system with large ducts providing high-velocity airflow for the function of the free-fall simulator. The five-story fiberglass tower where the indoor sky diving occurs is housed in the central portion of the facility, accompanied by two pre-cast concrete towers on both ends of the building which act as wind tunnels. These tunnels channel air from the fans on the roof into the crawlspace and up into the first level flight deck where the participants fly. As such, this project consisted of heavy mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.

The building also houses retail and office space.
