Project Scope

Graycor Construction was the general contractor for the exciting renovation of the 16,000-square-foot center court at Fox Valley Mall into an outdoor-themed environment or “central park”.

The new park-like space features string lighting, colorful swings, multiple seating options, a water feature, fox sculptures and tree-like sculptures, as well as a second-level platform or “treehouse” connected to the upper level by two bridges and also accessible via a custom spiral staircase.
Custom design elements include custom tree column wraps, custom spiral staircase at tree house and radial slat tree house finishes.

Graycor was able to compress the schedule to meet the owner’s aggressive timeline, as well as vet value engineering ideas to alleviate budget constraints.
