Graycor Industrial has successfully recertified with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC). In early June 2017, an assigned National Board team leader conducted the ASME/NBIC joint triennial review at Graycor’s Portage, Indiana, facility to assure compliance in renewing Graycor’s certificates of authorization to construct and/or repair boilers, pressure vessels and boiler external piping systems.

Since the early 1990s, Graycor has held its ASME A, PP, S and U certificates of authorization, as well as the National Board’s R certificate of authorization.

In addition, Graycor Industrial is one of a select few companies that maintains the ASME/NBIC certificates, is ISO 9001-registered and is an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC)-certified steel erector.

ASME is the leading international developer of codes and standards associated with the art, science and practice of mechanical engineering.

The National Board Inspection Code (NBIC), internationally recognized, provides standards for the installation, inspection, and repair and/or alteration of boilers, pressure vessels and pressure relief devices.
