Graycor Family of Companies, including Graycor Construction Company Inc., Graycor Industrial Constructors Inc. and Graycor Southern Inc., will participate in the Tough Mudder event to raise money for a charitable organization for the fourth consecutive year. Headquartered in Chicago, Graycor will have more than 50 participants from across ten offices, Boston to San Jose. Our team will tackle the 10-12-mile obstacle course in Rockford, IL on Saturday, August 24, 2019, with the goal of raising $50,000 for the ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter.
“We are excited to accept Team Challenge ALS to take on Tough Mudder,” says Elsa Andrade, Senior Project Manager and Graycor Tough Mudder Team Captain. “Graycor’s participation in the Tough Mudder aligns with our core values as an organization, allowing us to give back to our communities with the funds raised from the event. It’s also about teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something extraordinary. Graycor is honored to support the ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter and their efforts to find treatments and a cure for ALS, while also improving the quality of life for those living with the neurodegenerative disease.”
Graycor has raised over $100,000 for charitable organizations since participating in our first Tough Mudder event in 2016, raising over $12,000 for Organization for Autism Research (OAR) in 2016, over $45,000 for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation in 2017 and over $46,000 for the American Brain Tumor Association in 2018.
The fundraising kicked off with luncheons held in all Graycor offices on May 14, with members of the ALS Association Greater Chicago Chapter team joining Graycor at their Chicago headquarters.
