Inspired by the work of our beneficiary, the Organization for Autism Research (OAR), we’ve formed a ‘band of brothers and sisters’ internally at Graycor, to embrace the challenge of The Tough Mudder; a team-oriented 10-12 mile obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. This race puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a race, but a team challenge. We’ve committed to strive side-by-side as a team, ensuring no obstacles overcome us.
As if training for this wasn’t a big enough challenge, we wanted to take it one step further. The Graycor Tough Mudder team is currently raising funds to support OAR, and has already surpassed its goal of $10,000! Ready for even more great news? We have almost surpassed the largest fundraising achievement in Tough Mudder history; second only to THE Grey’s Anatomy team (yes, the TV show), and they enticed donors with a chance to meet Patrick Dempsey. Yes, we are competing with THE Patrick Dempsey! And were not finished yet. With less than a month to go (race day is May 21st!), we have no doubt we can surpass the celebs and rightfully take our spot on the leaderboard. #Challengethrowdown

Why do we love OAR? Led by parents and grandparents of children and adults on the autism spectrum, OAR sets out to use applied science to answer questions that parents, families, individuals with autism, teachers and caregivers confront daily. No other autism organization has this singular focus!
