Graycor Construction Company recently completed a new distribution facility for FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties in Rialto, California. Scannell Properties is a leading national build-to-suit developer and the largest developer of FedEx facilities in the U.S. FedEx Ground is a leading North American provider of ground small-package delivery services, providing service to the U.S. and Canada.

The 303,000 square foot build-to-suit FedEx Ground package delivery and sorting facility is constructed with a concrete tilt-up wall and wood hybrid roof structure. The project was a Design/Build effort between Graycor and RGA, Office of Architectural Design and sits on approximately 37 acres.

The new, state-of-the-art facility will be the second location for FedEx Ground in the City of Rialto, and the first building constructed within the Rialto Commerce Center. The site provides ease of access to major highways, proximity to customers’ distribution centers and the Ontario International Airport, and access to a diverse and fast growing labor force.

“This was another great opportunity for us to partner with the teams from FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties,” according to Todd Ostransky, General Manager, who leads the Logistics & Distribution markets at Graycor. “The Inland Empire is one of the most active distribution areas in the country, and we enjoyed the chance to assist our clients in developing this strategic facility.”

Graycor also recently completed worked on another build-to-suit distribution facility for FedEx Ground and Scannell Properties in Fresno, California and has worked on logistics & distribution projects for ALDI, Amazon, Duke Realty, Electrolux, Home Depot, MiTek, Pannatoni Development, Prologis and Seefried Industrial Properties.
