Graycor Construction Company recently broke ground on three major logistics & distribution projects for discount grocer, ALDI Inc. A grocery retailer that has grown without merger or acquisition, ALDI has more than 1,200 U.S. stores in 32 states. Over the last several years, ALDI has added, on average, 80 new stores each year, expanding the ability to bring grocery savings to more people every day.

The three projects that Graycor is leading are located in Dwight, Ill., Valparaiso, Ind. and Oak Creek, Wis and include significant expansions to existing distribution facilities. At each facility approximately 100,000 square feet of storage space will be added, comprised of roughly 60,000 square feet of cold storage and 40,000 square feet of dry storage.

The investments in these facilities are part of a broader growth strategy as ALDI is increasing its market presence in the U.S. Graycor is truly excited to be working with the ALDI team on these highly strategic cold and dry storage facilities and believes it is a great opportunity to work with one the pre-eminent global leaders in the grocery and food sector as they implement their U.S. growth strategy.
