Graycor managed construction of Toyota Motor Manufacturing′s expansive new Tecate plant in four specific phases.
Phase one included excavating and embanking 2.7 million cubic meters of earthwork. In phase two, Graycor constructed a 400,000–square–foot manufacturing building, wastewater treatment plant and substation. Phase three included construction of a 50,000–square–foot expansion to the existing building and an addition of an 18,000–square–foot canopy. In the final phase, Graycor constructed a 120,000–square–foot subcontractor supplier building. The fast–track project also included foundations, floor slabs, structural steel, and all utilities work.
