Chicago–based Washington & Jane Smith Community contracted Graycor to construct Smith Crossing, a 274,000–square–foot continuing–care retirement community in Orland Park, IL. Designed to support aging residents from early retirement on, Smith Crossing is comprised of eight duplex cottages, 84 independent living apartments, 32 assisted living apartments, 30 skilled nursing units and 16 memory support units. A large common space for the independent and assisted living areas features dining facilities, various multipurpose rooms, and a café, general store, chapel, laundry and clubroom. The complex also features underground parking for 85 cars and a large outdoor terrace.Browse projects by:
