Louis Rich Turkey-Processing Facility Construction
Client:
The Louis Rich Company
Architect/Engineer:
Teng & Associates
Project scope:

Graycor Construction completed work at the Louis Rich Turkey-Processing Facility in Missouri. Prior to Graycor mobilizing its team, rough grading and erection of a pre–engineered 436,000–square–foot building took place. Interior construction of the site covered a 10–acre area within a building shell situated on a 60–acre site. In total, the project included site work (paving, finish grading, sewers and landscaping) and concrete work. Despite the project taking place during the winter, concrete pours proceeded on-schedule due to extensive temporary exterior protection (created by Graycor) that provided shelter from the winterʼs elements, allowing concrete pours to proceed on-schedule. The completed project enabled Louis Rich to employ more than 1,000 workers and process approximately eight million turkeys annually.
