Power Plant Site Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Work

As part of Bighorn Constructors, Graycor Industrial completed engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work on Reliant Energy′s 548–megawatt combined–cycle power plant to serve the surrounding region. The project involved installation of two combustion turbines, one steam turbine, two heat–recovery steam generators, an air–cooled condenser and a switchyard.

Bighorn Constructors is a joint venture between managing partner Graycor Industrial, and partners Sachs Electric Co., Sargent & Lundy and Murphy Company Mechanical Contractors & Engineers. To conserve the area′s scarce water resources, the facility uses dry–cooling technology with clean–burning natural gas as the sole fuel source.
