Project Scope

When HSA Commercial took Orland Park Place (a declining 750,000-square-foot, two-story regional shopping center) under its redevelopment wing, they brought on Graycor to renovate the nearly vacant mall. Graycor “de-malled” the center by converting the central portion (424,000 square feet) into separate retail spaces, each with its own outside entrance. Plans also called for the construction of a 94,000-square-foot restaurant and entertainment component.

Work included foundations, structural steel, decking, a vertical transportation dock, new HVAC systems, shell-and-core construction for tenants, and site development, plus installation of a new façade.

In addition to existing anchors Kohl’s and Sportmart, new retailers include Bed Bath & Beyond, Wickes Furniture, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Old Navy, Stein Mart, Barnes & Noble, Cost Plus World Market, Gateway Computer, and Hallmark Card and Gift.
