Southridge Mall Rebuild and Renovation
Client:
BRE/Southridge Mall LLC
Architect/Engineer:
The Kubala Washatko Architects, Inc.
Project scope:
Wisconsin′s largest shopping center — Southridge Mall — underwent a multimillion–dollar enhancement, followed by a partial redevelopment of the mall. Projects included renovating the 1.4–million–square–foot, two–level regional mall as well as redeveloping the vacant 210,000–square–foot Younkers department store into four separate retail spaces to include Cost Plus World Market, Linens ʻn Things, and Steve & Barry′s University Sportswear stores. Graycorʼs part in the renovation encompassed updating the center′s commons by removing existing water features and finishes and installing new floor and planter tiles, customer service counters, and finishes. Throughout the mall, public restrooms were also renovated, new signage was installed and entrances were upgraded.
