Architect/Engineer:

Project scope:
Graycor Construction recently completed an expansion of Westfield Shoppingtown Southlake, a 1.28 million–square–foot super–regional mall in Hobart, IN. The multimillion–dollar project included expanding the mall′s east end for its new anchor tenant, Dick′s Sporting Goods. Graycor rerouted major utilities in front of the mallʼs entrance to accommodate the future Dickʼs store, a stand-alone structure. A pad for the store and surrounding parking lot was included. The building was connected by a 4,600- square-foot entry link structure that allowed for enclosed access to Dickʼs from the existing mall. The project also included a new 5,400-square-foot out-lot retail space at the north side of the site. In addition, building pads will be prepared for a new Kerasotes Theatre and a restaurant cluster. Graycor reconfigured the large parking area between the two buildings and constructed a connecting road to the adjacent mall.
