ANAHEIM, CA (June 2007) — Graycor Construction recently completed construction of a 57,000-square-foot addition to the Anaheim Marriott, a 19-story, 1,031-room hotel located just two blocks from Disneyland. The project is one of many Graycor Construction has performed coast to coast for the Washington, D.C.-based hotelier. Located across from the world-class Anaheim Convention Center and about 45 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, the hotel’s new ballroom addition will more than double its m­­eeting and banquet space capacity.

“Tight space constraints made scheduling and the coordination of material deliveries critical to this project,” said Larry Blouin, vice president and general manager, Graycor Construction. “The new addition is located where the facility’s swimming pool area used to exist, which required our team to remove the pool and then use the limited space for materials and equipment during construction,” he added. Houston/Tyner provided architectural services on the project.

Graycor Construction recently completed several renovation projects for Marriott in major cities across the U.S. from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. On the West Coast, Graycor Construction renovated 1,453 guest rooms and corridors on 34 floors as well as 40 hotel suites at the San Francisco Marriott at Moscone Center. In Santa Clara, Calif., the company remodeled a 17,000-square-foot ballroom.
In the Midwest, Graycor Construction completed major renovations of the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center Hotel and The Columbus, A Renaissance Hotel, both in Ohio. In the Southeast, 1,562 guest rooms and 46 corridors of the 47-story Atlanta Marriott Marquis were completed in March of last year. In the mid-Atlantic, the company renovated 558 guest rooms at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Va. (a suburb of Washington, D.C.).
