Chicago-based Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres LLC chose Graycor Construction to build new state-of-the-art multiplex theatres throughout Illinois and Indiana. The initial projects include completion of a 14-screen theatre in New Lenox, Ill., and a 12-screen theatre in Schererville, Ind., both in time for grand openings and the summer's movie releases. In addition, Graycor has since built two additional Kerasotes theatres in Hobart and Merrillville, Ind., as well as Chicago, Cicero and Niles, Ill.
The theatres feature pre-cast exteriors and interior stadium seating with high-back chairs; wall-to-wall, curved screens; Dolby digital sound systems in each auditorium; state-of-the-art projection systems; and spacious and modern lobbies with open arcades and concession bars.
