Graycor recently completed an assignment as program integrator for Blue Diamond Truck Co. S. de R.L. de C.V., a joint venture between Ford Motor Co. and Navistar International Corp. The joint venture was established to build medium commercial trucks that will be marketed independently under the Ford and Navistar International® brands. The trucks are produced at International Truck and Engine Corp.’s assembly plant in Escobedo, Nuevo León, Mexico.

The program integrated modifications, retooling and expansions to the plant’s body shop, paint shop and general assembly areas, where the trucks are assembled and produced. As integrator, Graycor managed the project’s engineering, procurement and construction.

The project focused on medium truck expansion. Graycor also conducted a utility study on the expansion project as well as an expansion of a sealer oven at International Truck and Engine’s Escobedo assembly plant paint shop.
