Graycor Construction is performing a number of projects at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill. at the west wing, the company completed a 36,000-square-foot, vertical expansion as part of an overall expansion project for which Graycor has been contracted to provide construction management services. The addition was constructed on top of three existing and fully operational stories of the building. The build-out project followed core-and-shell work previously completed on the Center's west wing.

As part of St. Alexius' overall expansion project, Graycor also completed construction of an 11,200-square-foot build-out of the west wing's sixth floor. Also completed was a new 23,400-square-foot emergency room addition, which was constructed in two phases. Graycor also performed a multimillion-dollar site work project. Recently completed projects for the expansion include renovating an LDR office and constructing a new special procedures/catheterization laboratory.
