Graycor completed construction of the Institute of Design, located in the heart of Chicago’s River North neighborhood at the southwest corner of LaSalle and Kinzie streets, just north of the Chicago River.

The 30,000-square-foot project included tenant buildout of four floors in a vacant office building, as well as construction of open classrooms, dark rooms, a machine shop and a café. Select features include free-floating drywall and acoustical suspended ceiling systems; unique hanging and shelf rails for student displays; magnetic, writeable and tackable wall covering systems and revolving millwork walls.
