Graycor International S. de R.L. de C.V. recently completed construction of a new paint and assembly plant for Toyota Motor Manufacturing Baja California Inc. in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. The project consisted of four phases.
Phase I included excavating and embanking 2.7 million cubic meters of earthwork. Phase II consisted of construction of a 400,000-square-foot manufacturing building, waste water treatment plant and substation. Phase III included construction of a 50,000-square-foot expansion to the existing building and addition of an 18,000-square-foot canopy. Phase IV involved construction of a 120,000-square-foot subcontractor supplier building. The fast-track project also included foundations, floor slabs, structural steel, and all utilities work.
The plant will produce new pickup trucks and truck beds.
