In 1921, when Edward Gray founded the company that would eventually become Graycor, the construction industry was vastly different from what it is today.

Similarly, the business he started -- then a sandblasting and concrete breaking operation -- is far different from its present day incarnation. Today, Graycor is a leading provider of construction, maintenance and facilities services throughout North America, with revenues of $370 million per year.

Although we pride ourselves on being forward-thinking, our success is based upon looking back on the many changes the years have brought to our company and our industry. Over the years, Graycor has grown and evolved as the world around it has grown and evolved, continuously diversifying our capabilities and changing the way we do business. A look back on how this evolution took place provides some interesting lessons, as well as a colorful look at how times have changed.
